QS. Malebang Tebele
Chairperson
Ms. Malebang Tebele is an accomplished Quantity Surveyor with 22 years of industry experience. She holds a BSc in
Quantity Surveying from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
Her diverse career spans multiple countries and sectors. In the UK, she contributed as a Housing Development
Quantity Surveyor and FM Consultant. In South Africa, she gained valuable expertise as a Contractor’s QS, while in
Botswana, she has served as a Consulting Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, and Facilities Manager.
Ms. Tebele’s extensive expertise covers new projects and maintenance across residential, commercial, and
healthcare facilities, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex developments and drive impactful solutions
within the built environment.
Malebang is currently Managing Director for Boipuso De Witt Consult
QS. Evah Digwaamaje
Vice Chairperson
Evah Digwaamaje holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Quantity Surveying from Birmingham City
University. She is a professionally registered Quantity Surveyor with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Council
(QSRC) and a member of the Institute of Botswana Quantity Surveyors (IBQS), where she currently serves as Vice
Chair of the Executive Committee.
Ms. Digwaamaje brings over ten years of industry experience across the consultancy, contracting, and public sectors.
She is currently employed in the mining sector, where she plays a key role as a Project Quantity Surveyor.
QS. Isaac Saul Masi
Secretary
Isaac Saul Masi is a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with over two decades of experience in the construction
industry, specializing in consultancy-based QS services. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from
the University of Salford (UK), awarded in 2000, and a Certificate in Construction Technology (City & Guilds
626) from the University of Botswana, completed in 1995.
His career includes extensive work in Botswana and South Africa, with additional project experience in
Uganda and Ethiopia. Over the years, he has developed strong expertise in project cost management, contract administration, and advisory services, contributing to successful delivery of both public and
private sector projects across the region.
Isaac Saul Masi is a Professional Member of the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying
Profession (SACQSP) and a Member of the Institute of Botswana Quantity Surveyors (IBQS). In his role as
Secretary of IBQS, he is dedicated to advancing the profession through advocacy, governance, and the
promotion of ethical and sustainable quantity surveying practices in Botswana.
QS. Thero Modikele
Vice Secretary
Thero Modikele is a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor with a distinguished career spanning over a
decade and a half in the construction, mining, engineering, Residential and infrastructure sectors. She
holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Cape Town and is a
Professional Member of QSRC along with memberships in ASAQS, IBQS, RICS and PMI. Thero has expertise
in managing large-scale projects from inception through to completion, including mining tailings facilities,
plant equipment replacements, residential and social infrastructure developments across Botswana and
South Africa.
She has also developed leadership skills through professional development programs and actively mentors
aspiring quantity surveyors. Her technical expertise, coupled with her leadership and commitment to
professional growth, makes her an asset in delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
QS. Richard Mazebedi
Treasurer
Richard Mazebedi is Experienced Quantity Surveyor with 16 years of experience. He holds a BSc(hons)
degree in Quantity Surveying from University of Salford, United Kingdom. He has worked across different
kind of Environment; from Ministries, private sector to parastatal. His experience covers a wide range of
knowledge from small-scale projects, facility management and large-scale residential and institutional
development projects. Worked for Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing Development, Ministry of Health
(MTU), The Fitzwilliam and Partnership Botswana and now at Botswana Housing Corporation.
Ms Tshegofatso P Mmagoajewa
Executive Secretary
Tshegofatso P Mmagoajewa is an Accountant by training; having obtained an Association of
Accounting Technician Level2 certificate in 2019 and a Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies
from the University of Botswana in 2010. With well over 10 years’ experience in the accounting and
administration field, Tshegofatso is currently an Executive Secretary for the Institute of Botswana
Quantity Surveyors. She was previously employed by The Spar Group Botswana Pty Ltd as a
Receptionist, Quality meat Pty Ltd as an Accounts Clerk and Pipe Connection Engineering Services as
an Office Assistance.
Beyond her profession as a Secretariat; Tshegofatso is also an enthusiastic cake baker running a
successful bakery business specializing in wedding, birthday’s cakes and any other occasion that is
celebrated. Royale Bakeries have been existence since 2020.
Tshegofatso is a wife and a wonderful mother to two boys, and on her spare time enjoys travelling.
QS. Tiisang Thokweng
Additional Member
A seasoned construction professional with over 25 years of experience in the built environment,
transitioned from a core background in civil/building Technician to Quantity Surveying to Project
Management. Holding BSc. (Hon) Degree in Quantity Surveying from University of South Wales in United
Kingdom. Member of IBQS and QSRC. Currently pursuing Master of Project Management with the
University of Botswana. Quantity Surveyor who developed deep expertise in cost estimation, contract
administration, and financial control across a wide range of infrastructure and building projects.
Throughout his career, he successfully managed procurement processes, value engineering exercises, and
cost planning for public developments. For the past 6 years, he has taken on broader leadership
responsibilities coordinating multidisciplinary teams and overseeing Project execution from conception
through to handover. The strong foundation in cost control and contract management, combined with
ability to manage timelines, resources and stakeholders’ expectations, enabled me to effectively transition
into the role of. Project Manager.
I am currently leading construction projects where I ensure alignment between project objectives, 6
delivery timelines.
QS. Bonang Nkhwanana
Additional Member
Bonang Nkhwanana is a registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with the Quantity Surveyors
Registration Council of Botswana and currently registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with the South
African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession. He graduated from the University of Salford in 2014
with a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying. Bonang is currently employed as an Associate Director at RLB
Pentad. He was previously employed by Francistown City Council, Italtswana Construction Company, and
Bharon Construction Company in Orapa.
Bonang has delivered quantity surveying services as quantity surveyor on prestigious projects in recent
times in Botswana and South Africa. His areas of expertise include Commercial, Hotel, Offices, Residential,
Retail, Infrastructure and Healthcare Projects

QS. Kaone Mongale
Immediate Outgoing Chair
Kaone Mongale is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse range of experiences. She currently holds
the position of Contracts Management Administrator at Debswana Diamond Company, where she excels in
managing contracts and ensuring smooth operations. In addition, she serves as the Director at K-E Consulting &
Engineering, offering expert guidance in the field of quantity surveying. Furthermore, Kaone is the creative force
behind Cakes by Nkay, a specialized cake business that reflects her passion for baking.
As a Professional Quantity Surveyor registered with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Council in Botswana,
Kaone brings a wealth of expertise to her work. She holds a B. Tech Degree from the prestigious Tshwane
University of Technology and possesses over 12 years of experience in the building industry. Her project portfolio
spans various sectors, including Residential, Commercial, Retail, and Mining Developments. Notable projects she
has contributed to include the Letlhakane Mine DK1 Underground Mining Project, Orapa Fines Residue Project
(Construction of Slimes Dam, Degrit Plant, and Slimes and Return Water Pipeline), and Sir Ketumile Teaching
Hospital. Kaone is proficient in industry software applications such as DimensionX, WinQS, SAP Ariba, and SAP
GUI, further enhancing her efficiency and effectiveness in her work.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Kaone is a loving mother of two wonderful children, a girl, and a boy. She
finds joy in singing alto with the KTM Choir and is an avid reader. In fact, she founded a reading club called
Beyond the Book, driven by her passion for literature and promoting a love for reading among others.
With her extensive experience, diverse skills, and unwavering dedication, Kaone Mongale continues to make
remarkable contributions in her professional and personal pursuits.
